Cynthia E. Orr

Cynthia Eva Hujar Orr is a nationally respected trial and appellate lawyer. She is vice president of the NACDL and past president of the San Antonio and Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers associations. Orr is on the ABA Criminal Justice Council and House of Delegates, listed in The Best Lawyers in America and in Super Lawyers, and The American Trial Lawyers Association selected her as one of 2007’s Top 100 Trial Lawyers in Texas. Orr speaks for the ABA, NACDL, Bar groups and at St. Mary’s School of Law. A member of the San Antonio Women’s Hall of Fame, she clerked for judge Emilio Garza, co-founded the Texas Innocence Network and serves on the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce board of directors. Orr is board-certified in criminal law. This year she won a unanimous decision in the U.S. Supreme Court.
